Burt Reynolds Park
Gentile Glas Holloway O'Mahoney & Associates, Inc. is responsible for the design of the park expansion along the Intracoastal Waterway in the Town of Jupiter. The expansion included sixty four (64) new boat trailer parking spaces, fifty six (56) public parking spaces, a large group picnic pavilion area with grills, four (4) family picnic pavilions, a restroom facility, an equipment storage building, a tot lot, and a grass volley ball court. The project includes an extension of the Town of Jupiter’s Riverwalk from U.S. Highway One to the proposed pedestrian bridge. Two additional dock areas for launched boat staging are designed, the first located on the west side of U.S. Highway One north of the existing boat ramps, and the other is located just east of the boat ramps. Currently the park is used as one of Jupiter’s prime boat launching facilities and handles hundreds of users on each weekend.
2GHO was responsible for processing the site plan application and dock expansion through the Town of Jupiter and various regulating agencies, as well as representing the client at all public meetings. 2GHO designed a flowing site plan with well thought out details, native and naturalistic landscape, and water saving irrigation. Existing tree inventory was executed and involved tree relocation and exotic removal. In addition 2GHO saw the project through the construction administration process and handled all issues which occurred during the final stages of implementation.
