Harbourside

2GHO is responsible for governmental approval process, site design and landscape architectural services for this mixed use development project within the Town of Jupiter’s Community Redevelopment Agency boundaries. Harbourside Place, Jupiter’s new waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment center, is an ideal example of the interconnected use of function and design for a new downtown. The design utilizes the full potential of the site’s natural beauty and location, providing an essential link within Jupiter’s Riverwalk, a 2.5 mile recreational walking path along the Waterway. Inspired as a modern interpretation of British Colonial architecture, the site embodies the intimate, natural setting of a “village developed over time” and offers local residents and visitors a downtown experience along the water.

Patrons are welcomed to Harbourside Place by a custom-made marlin statue and water fountain, with two towers serving to frame the main entrance and elongate the view. Anchoring the development is the Wyndham Grand Jupiter, a four-star resort which was designed to provide unhindered views of the waterway, including a glass bridge connecting the two wings of the resort. Committed to providing waterfront access to the public, Harbourside Place provides public docks and a riverside pavilion. The amphitheater, which hosts numerous civic and social functions, has a beautifully designed leaf-shaped canopy for maximum acoustic quality and interactive fountains. Whether arriving by land or sea, the entertainment options at Harbourside Place are boundless.
