K-Park Master Planning

2GHO with Stephen Boruff Architects and the Village of Wellington created a master plan for this new 67 acre community park. The program included various active, passive and cultural recreational uses including sports fields, basketball and tennis courts, a municipal swimming pool and a community building. Services included site analysis, development of alternative concepts, meetings and the final conceptual master plan with estimates for construction. The estimated cost of construction for this park was 40 million. The park project has been included in Village’s capital improvement element of their comprehensive plan and will be an asset to the quality of life for residents of Wellington.
