2GHO created an “End Use” plan for this site that included both passive and active recreation uses, including restoration of the historical wetlands, creation of an educational native habitat, a golf driving range, BMX Bicycle track and the reclamation of over 12,000 native trees which were placed on the site. This project received national recognition, numerous awards and was featured on ABC’s America Agenda program with the restoration of New York’s Fresh Kill Landfill.

2GHO designed of all the common area landscape including streetscapes, the town center and the master re-use landscape irrigation system for this 2,050 acre neighborhood. The New Haven community in Abacoa was the first traditionally designed neighborhood in Palm Beach County. Several of the commercial, practice fields and residential parcels are the site and landscape design result of 2GHO addressing pedestrian and vehicular connectivity, community recreation, and providing for a unique quality of life. On a community wide level, a sustainable plant pallet has been developed with support from the use of recycled water for all the irrigation, requiring state of the art equipment on a massive scale.

Max Planck Research Institute

2GHO developed the site plan, including building siting and parking layout, for this 6 acre site with over 100,000 gross square feet of research and development space, a notable $64 million facility in northern Palm Beach County. At the research core are emerging fields of biosensing and bioimagining, bringing together researchers in physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and computational sciences. The project received LEED Gold certification in late 2012. The ground plane hosts large and small gathering spots and areas for sitting and playing board games, as well as a continuous walking path that circumvents the site.

Harbourside Place

2GHO worked on the governmental approval process, site design and landscape architectural services for the new premiere waterfront entertainment development project within the Town of Jupiter’s Community Redevelopment boundaries. The project consists of restaurants, office, retail, hotel, marina and public space for cultural uses. A key component of the Harbourside project is the integration of the Town of Jupiter’s Riverwalk into the project and expanding into open space set aside in the development for gathering and entertainment.

West Palm Beach Intermodal Transit Facility

2GHO provided planning and design services for the West Palm Beach Intermodal Transfer Facility, a facility designed to accommodate the transfer of mass transit passengers. The strategically placed facility is intended to accomplish multi-modal transit goals, strategies and objectives in West Palm Beach, central Palm Beach County and beyond.

Sugarland Wind Facility

2GHO is responsible for obtaining approval of the first of its kind Wind Energy Facility in the State of Florida, as well as Palm Beach County. 2GHO also worked with the County to develop wind industry consistent code within their Unified Land Development Regulations. The project encompasses includes over 13,000 acres and will provide for on-going agricultural production in western Palm Beach County. Once operating, this facility will produce 200 megawatts of electric power, enough for approximately 65,000 homes.
