Phil Foster Park
2GHO is responsible for the design development of the new master plan of the existing park facility located in Riviera Beach, Florida. Today the park functions as a major recreational and commercial boat launching facility for Palm Beach County due to its proximity to the ocean through the Palm Beach Inlet. 2GHO created a design which facilitates boat launching using big sweeping curves which clearly separates boat trailer vehicles from others enhancing safety. All the park amenities including small group pavilions areas equipped with charcoal grills, bathroom facilities, tot lot and access to a swimming area on the south side of the Blue Heron Boulevard bridge are designed and located to maximize the joy of being on the water in a sub-tropical setting with swaying palm trees. The park is designed to handle all these various users in an inviting and safe manner through design circulation, use of paving and construction material, and selection and placement of landscape material.
2GHO was involved in all aspects of the project from application through site plan approval. Post approval services included preparation of full landscape architectural construction documents, bidding and negotiations of the landscape and hardscape materials, as well as negotiating aspects of the project and landscape construction contract administrations services through several phases of construction.
